Okhta Chemical Plant, grounded in 1715 on the decree of Peter the Great as Okhta Powder factory, under the right occupies one of leading places in chemical branch on production of plastics. The plant produces the unique fluoropolymer, polyvinyl acetate, polyolefines products and series of products of inorganic chemistry having a great demand at the consumers. Okhta Chemical Plant offers wide assortment of traditional articles from fluoropolymers: pipes, hoses, rods, cords, plates, O-rings, fluoropolymer gaskets using in chemical and petrochemical industry, machine industry and many other branches.

At the same time we offer to the market meltable and porous fluoropolymers, which have mechanical characteristics of the polyethylene film, but withstand temperatures up to 200°C being chemically inert.

This development concerns: F-2 fluoropolymer sheets, which finds its application for lining and anticorrosive protection of the chemical vessel equipment, galvanic and etching baths, columns of petrochemical and chemical plantsroductions; porous fluoropolymer tape used to seal of complex thread connections, as high-frequency cable insulation by virtue of the high dielectric properties, and also for ultrafiltration of high aggressive fluids and gases; heat shrinkable fluoropolymer tubes for oil and gas industry. Furthermore we produce fluoropopolymer -epoxy and fluoropolymer anticorrosive and antifriction compounds with a long term of maintenance of coatings on their basis. The separate place occupies our experience in lining of large diameter pipes and fittings.

In the branch of polyvinyl acetate we offer: polyvinyl acetate bead, which is successfully applied as powder by manufacturing of breathing masks, as finishing material in a light industry, and as solution — as lacquer coatings in production of capacitors, gluing of different materials, varnishing of fabrics and synthetic leather, sizing of cellophane. We have developed polyvinyl acetate damping mastics for surface covering, through which should not pass a sound. The extinguishing of acoustical oscillations goes at a molecular level, therefore layers of coating can be very thin.

We produce the large assortment of pigment master batches on the basis of polyolefines for coloring of thermoplastics in any colors immediately during their processing to article, master batches of sliding additives for modification and improvement of plastic articles consumer properties.

Our Sevilene film exceed on the properties considerably polyethylene film. Sevilene film can work in conditions of year-round maintenance during 5 years.

Our inorganic chemistry department manufactures potash alum for a tanning industry and water cleaning, detergent disinfectants for food and medical industries.
