Adem mastic Is used for rigid damping coatings which are highly effective in the sound frequency range (25-10000 Hz). The coating is made by spraying or applying and when it is dried (layer up to 4 mm thick requires drying at 20°Ñ for 24 hours) it forms solid water and oil resistant surface. It is recommended for ship building, aviation and car industries, construction, precise instrument industry etc. It may be used for surface dressing at living quarters and production premises at saturation of 1,5 ì²/ì³.

Adem mastic constitutes a highly viscous paste based upon aqueous dispersions of vinyl acetate homo and copolymers.

On the basis of industrial grades of Adem vibroabsorbing mastic its new modifications which are taking into account specificity of the requirements of motor industry are lately developed:

mastic which is capable to shape rapid damping coatings
(0,5 hours at 160°Ñ);
mastic which gives damping coatings with lowed density
(~1000 kg/ì³);
mastic which gives foamed coatings with density 400 ÷ 450 kg/ì³, which one combine high damping indices with low thermal conductivity
( = 0,08 W/m · Ê);
mastic which is capable to give damping coatings with a broad temperature range of an effective absorption of mechanical energy.
